29before30: Goal #29 - Print, Frame and Live with More Photos

I love digital photography. I love the instant gratification of looking at a perfect shot...or, let's get real,  a not so perfect shot, then having the luxury of deleting said shot without wasting film. Although the digital world that we live in gives us the capability to capture so much more of our lives than was previously possible, this oftentimes translates to those records sitting on a hard drive - only to be flipped through occasionally.

Hence, goal #29. Print, frame and live with more photos.

I've printed out a few photos, which have yet to be framed and put on the wall, but with this goal, I wanted to take the opportunity to try out a craft project that I had been eyeing.

Remember me mentioning my epic apple picking day? That day was such a special part of my fall last year, and my friends and I took so many amazing photos, that I wanted to create something special to remember that day forever.

Enter the Geometric Photo Art Project via A Beautiful Mess. Things I will say about this project: Double sided tape loves to rip newspaper. Unless you have a die cut, cutting perfect triangles is next to impossible, then subsequently matching up your imperfect triangles is next to impossible. That aside, I was thrilled with how the project turned out!

Here are some detail shots - I like how Allison is peaking through the corn here.

I think that Jeremiah's profile looks like the face of a Roman coin.

Have you ever done a craft project incorporating photographs? I would love to hear about it!

If you pop back in tomorrow, I'll show you where in my home this lovely artwork is now living. Until then, xo!

Yay! I have printing more photos on my list too. And I love the ABM blog, and seeing your variation! Congrats on hitting so many of your goals!

That looks really cool! I was just reading one of my long-term to-do lists this morning and on it was "print out some photos" and other various photo-organizing tasks. You've given me a huge nudge - thanks!
