My friend Chris, featured in the video below, has been turned away twice while trying to donate blood. Did you know that it is illegal for a gay man to donate blood? And that it makes no difference that Chris is disease free and has the rare blood type of A-? Read more about Chris' story here.
I am so proud of my actor-type friends for putting this video together to raise awareness about this antiquated and discriminatory law. If you feel compelled, I urge you to call your state representatives and make some noise.
