Feelin' Fancy

A few weeks ago, before I lost my camera battery, I took pictures of the ensemble that I put together to attend my niece, Cayla's wedding. I felt very fancy indeed!

Step one to feelin' fancy...don a sparkly, handmade fascinator!

Fascinator made from a Christmas wreath decoration

Step Two...Immediately laugh at the staying power of your hair a la Flock of Seagulls...

Step Three...Wear a fancy party dress.

Step Three and a half...By the way...Did you see my party dress?

Step Four...Put on your serious dancing shoes.

Fancy shoes

Finito...Now you're feelin' fancy!

Party Dress!

Outfit details: Fascinator handmade by me, vintage wiggle dress from Atherton's Vintage, gold glitter shoes by TOMS.

Hello! I randomly happened upon your blog the other day. It's totally insane how much we have in common. Same age, we both love thrifting, pyrex (although I tend to go for the solid-colored items), and handmade Christmas stuff. You ARE a choreographer, I WANT to be a choreographer (although it would never happen in a million years). Anyway, just wanted to let you know where your new follower came from. Although I can't seem to officially "follow" you for some reason. Love your blog, and you have inspired me to be more active on mine, especially when it comes to photographing and posting some of my great vintage finds.

P.S. I'm in love with your craigslist hutch. And I have that same Fire-King pour-y bowl! Only mine is blue.
