That concludes my Silver Bay sharing...for this year!

After we left New York, Matt and I were lucky enough to spend a few days at the Maple Hill Bed and Breakfast in Freeport, Maine while he worked his technical magic on the Freeport Shakespeare Festival. I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before, and it was a great experience. Especially the breakfast part. The first morning that I was there blueberry crepes were on the menu...I think I ate four!

There was a beautiful double wedding ring quilt on our bed, that was so worn and soft...absolutely delicious to sleep in!



AND - in the bathroom there was this amazing pink tub!



Seriously?! How awesome is that?! I took a bath in it immediately - and felt like a queen. YAY!

Okay friends, enough vacation talk. I've been back for two weeks! The next post...will be crafty.

Come and hike with me to Uncas' Cliff.



This cliff appears in The Last of the Mohicans.

Matt is a crazy daisy, so he ventured down to the edge as far as he could. The cliff is very steep!



I stayed on higher ground, (having heart palpitations watching my crazy hubby), where it was safe.



The view from the top of Uncas' Cliff is stunning. You climb, and climb and climb through the woods, and suddenly you see this:



It was sunny.





We were hot.



But it was so, so worth it.



Matt: You look like Maria from the Sound of Music!
Me: Yeah, except if I went running, spinning down the hill singing 'The hills are aliiiiiive' I would die. End of story.

Silver Bay Days 2010 : Part 1

Well, I certainly did not expect to be taking another blog break after my return. Easing into the real world has not been so simple. Matt's grandmother passed away last week, and we made a whirlwind trip to New Jersey for the funeral. We drove down last night and drove back today. I am *EXHAUSTED* however, I wanted to start sharing some of my Silver Bay days with all of you. I am going to spread these posts out over a few days. Some may have stories accompanying them, some not. The beauty of the bay speaks for itself!
