Holiday Handmade Crusade :: Christmas Ornament Giveaway!

If you have been following my Holiday Handmade Crusade efforts for awhile now, you might know that I usually like to make Christmas ornaments in January. You also may know that the 2010 edition of the Holiday Handmade Crusade has been crawling along at a snail's pace. It's October people!

So a few weeks ago, sans completed ornaments, I looked to my del.icio.us account for ornament tutorial inspiration. When I re-stumbled upon the sewing machine sampler ornaments over on craftlog I knew I had found "the one."

Freshly crafted, I present 24 ornaments:

Sewing Machine Sampler Ornaments

While I do enjoy a painstaking, time consuming craft project - sometimes you just need some instant gratification! One of these will go to each household in our immediate family, and be slipped into a few special Christmas cards.

GIVEAWAY!

As thanks for being such delightful readers - I would like to give one of my sewing machine sampler ornaments away. Leave a comment that has something to do with the holidays, i.e. a funny holiday story, favorite recipe, tradition, link to a fun tutorial and I will enter you in a raffle for the ornament of your choosing (red or white). Be sure that your comment includes an e-mail address where I can contact you.

Comment by Wednesday, October 27 to win! Winner will be announced on Thursday!

I think these are fantastico! So simple and elegant. I am feeling impatient for Christmas, no not really, considering that I haven't done a single thing to prepare. Need to take a page out of your book!

Very lovely! Thanks for the giveaway!

A tradition of mine is to get together with my mom's family and do a "Yankee Swap" except they're typically "gag" gifts and nothing too serious. It's always lots of fun and laughs!

These are so cool! I love the whole notbreakable thing too, perfect for when children come along in the future. This is our first year in our own house and we are going to buy a plantable tree each christmas and plant it in the garden in January (it's summer at Christmas so we can do that!)and one day we'll have a collection of trees marking all our holiday seasons here.

When we were kids, we moved a long ways away from home to a house that had no fireplace. "How will Santa come," us kids worried. Mom made a fireplace out of large paper and a bunch of red and black crayons and thumbtacked it to the wall, with our stockings hanging from its mantle. Since then, every year we made a fireplace - whether the house had one or not. I've used the same paper fireplace in my current house the last few years. When I finally move in with my guy, we'll have the real fireplace downstairs and my paper one upstairs.

These are going to be beautiful! I can't help myself! I have to put my name in the hat for a chance of an ornament from your hands.

You know I am a huge Winter Holiday fan already - right!? Let's see - what about the holidays do I love most - aha! That is easy. Spending Christmas Day at my Daughters house. We relax, cook VERY simple foods, nibble and eat all day long, and just quietly enjoy being with each other and the two men we love.
