Cucumber Cheddar Sandwich

Let's make a sandwich today, shall we?

The "recipe" (if stacking things together can be called a recipe) for this sandwich is from one of my all time favorite cookbooks Once Upon a Tart: Soups, Salads, Muffins and More. It happens to have quite a few brilliant sandwich recipes, I highly recommend it!

let's make a sandwich

You will need: quality extra sharp cheddar cheese, mango chutney (I'm using mango papaya here because it was all that I could find), a cucumber, watercress and the bread of your choice.

Kitchen Tip: If you are lacking a cheese slicer, a vegetable peel makes for a nice stand in, creating thin, delectable slices of cheese.

Layer all of those bad boys up, and this is what you get...

nom! sandwich

A scrumptious lunch!

What's in your lunch box lately?

that looks lovely! It's interesting though - what you call cress is very different to what we call cress - and we call 'your' cress 'Rocket'. Still looks lovely though :)
